As an American art historian and traveler who has long embraced the charm of Italy, our family recently enjoyed a serene retreat at Agriturismo Il Selvello Villa. Nestled among orchards and vineyards, this rustic gem, just 29 km from the nearest airport, welcomed us with open arms. Opting for a self-catering unit, we found comfort in its dated yet cozy decor, kept immaculately clean. Amidst a scorching 39°C day, the thoughtful addition of mosquito nets and a fan offered respite, making our stay cool and pleasant.The family-friendly atmosphere shone through with a children's playground that kept our little one gleeful. The delightful surprise of homemade lasagna and wine delivered to our terrace by the warm-hearted owners, Loredana and Roberto, showcased their hospitable nature. Exploring the gardens with donkeys, a charmingly timid dog, and a playful cat, our days were filled with joy.For a genuine Italian escapade, with a touch of warmth and authenticity, Agriturismo Il Selvello Villa is a hidden treasure.
